Artist: A HANDFUL OF DUST
Title: Now Gods, Stand Up For Bastards & The Philosophick Mercury
Format: Double CD
Label: No Fun
Country: USA
Price: $12.00
"Now Gods, Stand Up For Bastards/The Philosophik Mercury is a double-disc re-issue of two limited and long out-of-print works by this obscure enigma. Plunging straight into the chasm of ultra-minimalist abrasion and chaotic improv, these two records stand as unrelenting and engrossing epics of guitar feedback, disintegrating electronic sound, string-shredding violin abuse, and other facets of impassioned iconoclasm. Recommended for lovers of AMM, Henry Flynt, and Hijokaidan. A Handful of Dust are a group consisting of a core duo of Bruce Russell (The Dead C) and Alastair Galbraith. Formed in Dunedin, New Zealand in 1990." -No Fun

Artist: ABE VIGODA
Title: Skelaton
Format: Cass
Label: Not Not Fun
Country: USA
Price: $6.25
"Shit is clich鬠but ya cant fight the fact that time changes EVERYTHING (or wait, maybe its money?). Either way: were pretty old but not so old weve forgotten the cradle days of early Abe Vigoda shows when they only liked Smashing Pumpkins, short shorts, and boating shoes, and their sets were short spiky blasts of post-Unwound lo-fi outsider-punk (a la the Sky Route/Star Roof LP). That was a long time ago. But like all good bands the Vigodans have re-invented themselves a half dozen times over since then, and its been a totally rad ride to witness the evolution/transformation, especially since their journeys culminated in the total sparkling tropic magic sunbath of Skeleton, the best AV record ever. Years of fiddling with delay pedal settings and intricate bass/drums equations somehow resulted in a weird, bright, upbeat island punk sound thats as catchy and life-affirming as it is tripped-out and overwhelming. Who knew? Catch these die-hards at a show in yr neck of the woods any day now; they are now on PERMA-TOUR. Pro-dubbed cassettes in a “Columbia Records”-style super legit J-card. Edition of 200. This album is also available on CD and LP from our friends at Post Present Medium." -Not Not Fun

Format: One Sided LP
Label: Acoustic Family Creeps
Country: USA
Price: $10.50
"One sided, bootleg-style twelve inch that may very well be Brookylns own WOODS, caught live in Europe. No listed record label, no B-side, no repress. Weve seen these for sale at Woods shows so they may be legit, although the world is ripe with mystery. Very limited." -Acoustic Family Creeps

Artist: ACTOR, THE
Title: Covergirl EP
Format: 10"
Label: Enfant Terrible
Country: Netherlands

Artist: AFTER THE SNOW
Title: Fracture
Format: LP
Label: Enfant Terrible
Country: Netherlands
Price: $18.00
"On his debut LP After The Snow (this artist was already present on Enfant04: Electronic Renaissance) presents to the world his visions and feelings translated into dark, ritualistic and invocative minimal electronics. In his sound you will discover that After The Snow works within the old industrial and new wave tradition. And, his sound will remind you of early minimal electronic acts. Still he has a very unique and original sound of his own, made for the world of today... LP limited to 310 copies." - Enfant Terrible.

Artist: AGENT SIDE GRINDER
Title: Agent Side Grinder
Format: 7"
Label: Enfant Terrible
Country: Netherlands
Price: $8.50
"Agent Side Grinder is one the most promising new bands in the field of contemporary minimal electronic music. Their music is firmly rooted in the post-punk, new wave, minimal electronics and industrial tradition and they are following in pioneers footsteps of the likes of Silver Apples, Suicide, Throbbing Gristle and Liaisons Dangereuses. No laptops and backing tapes or such things are used. All is done in real time with analogue synths, rhythm boxes and tape loops... in the studio and live on stage... Agent Side Grinder is the new breed for today! This is the second release on the Petit Enfant series for 7" releases only. The artwork and packaging is done by Dutch artist Edwin Stoutjesdijk (also known as dj Kramp from our Hex parties)..." -Enfant Terrible.

Artist: AGOG
Title: Dust Is Their Food And Clay Their Meat
Format: LP
Label: Anomalous
Country:
Price: $10.50
"Starting his music career in the early 1980s in the collective Points of Friction alongside Joseph Hammer and being on the fringes of the L.A.F.M.S. group, Damian Bisciglia has gone on to create a body of work only available on cassette and generally only heard among the cassette culture. His work is amazingly developed though, finding a style incorporating collage, improvisation, and diverse number of unique sources including contact mic as instrument unto itself, multitracked loops, shells, balloons, metal heater, springs, matchbox car, and many others." - Anomalous.

Artist: AHLZAGAILZEHGUH
Title: Misinterpreted Injury
Format: Double 7''
Label: Razors And Medicine
Country: USA
Price: $7.00
"By now ahlzagailzehguh has become established as one of the current leaders of harsh/cut-up noise. misinterpreted injury, his first release on the 7 format deals with the trauma associated with the loss of a kidney at the age of 9. it consists of four meticulous side long tracks that display complete control of left-right speaker counterpoint, frequency manipulation, and overall compositional form. this is not your typical harsh noise study, but a true masterwork. the artwork was designed by james himself and is pro-printed folding on cardstock with front, back, and inner design. the first 7 is translucent red and the second is translucent yellow, both featuring printed labels." - Razors And Medicine.

Artist: AIAS
Title: A La Piscina
Format: CD
Label: Captured Tracks
Country: USA
Price: $8.50
"Aias are Gaia, Laia and Miriam. Gaia sings and plays guitar. Laia sings and plays drums and Miriam sings and plays bass. And the three together they try to make songs for anyone else to sing. Pop with distortion, lots of "oooos" and vocal harmonies in in a cave with endless ceilings sung in their native Catalan (not Spanish, mind you!) Aias began as a birthday party band and by surprise ended up being a band for real, or at least thats their current intention. The desire to win in the fight against the instrument itself, the need to shout a bit during the week, a Vivian Girls concert during the Primavera Sound Festival and the providential intervention of Cristian Pallej®§ (Nisei, Sedai®Ƴ) lead to a home made recording in a village lost in Catalonia and an unexpected winter signing with the New York Label, Captured tracks. "A La Piscina" is their first full-length release, for which they will be touring the US in the Fall." - Captured Tracks.

Artist: AIRPORT WAR
Title: In Dreams Begin Responsibilities
Format: Picture Disc LP
Label: Airport War
Country: USA
Price: $13.50
"This latest LP from Airport War is 12 inches of guilt-by-association (or rather the bastard child between Delmore Schwartz, pornography, the Moor Murders, Raymond Pettibon, Sonic Youth, and Patty Hearst). All represented in either, title, image, or sound, they demonstrate the collapse between audience and performer—with the record being the rate of exchange. Version/inversion (a figure 8), this piece of plastic is the intersection that connects Airport War to his audience and himself to his art—a meditation on medium. In Dreams Begins Responsibilities features a single loop of Patty Hearts long lost phone call from the closet to her parents—the first call after her kidnapping by the SLA. The call was originally recorded on tape and then played over the phone and then transferred to tape for the world to hear—a performance distributed via news networks throughout the world to millions of people (had it been sold/itd have gone gold in seconds). Specifically, the loop contains the first four words: Mom, Dad, Im okay. The last two words "Im okay" repeat into infinity or until the listener grows tired, the record wears out or the player breaks down. The record comes in two version (limited to 50 of each), with the sole difference being the inversion of the two color silkscreen process—one with red overlay and one with blue overlay. Silkscreen ink was applied directly to the record. Hand Signed/Numbered." - Airport War Records

Artist: ALCORN, SUSAN
Title: And I Await the Resurrection of the Pedal Steel Guitar
Format: LP
Label: Olde English Spelling Bee
Country: USA
Price: $12.50
"This is the fifth solo offering by the Houston, Texas based pedal steel sorceress, Susan Alcorn. "The Heart Sutra" opens and is inspired by the "Sutra of the Heart of Transcendent Wisdom", which was delivered by Buddha 2,500 years ago. It is a beautiful, yet solemn work that reverbates from within as Susan strums those magical strings. The title track, "And I Await the Resurrection of the Pedal Steel Guitar", was inspired by Messiaens "Et Expecto Ressurectionum Mortuorum". It is a near 16-minute epic of stirring, haunting sounds. Each note is stretched out and floats like a spirit on the wind in a graveyard. Ms. Alcorns approach to the pedal steel guitar is completely unique and she doesnt quite sound like anyone else. If one is patient enough, they will realize that she makes every note and space count. "The Glass is Already Broken" is another piece in which each melodic fragment is touching, somber and well-selected, yet it drifts into a more sinister area. "The First Turning of the Wheel" was inspired, oddly enough, by the late Bob Graettinger, composer & arranger for Stan Kentons classic album, "This Modern World/City of Glass". I am not quite sure how this music is related to Kentons modern big band work, but again I was moved by the solemn spaciousness. For "The Second Turning of the Wheel", the notes are again softly stretched out and immensely eerie. On "Three Minute Warning", Susan lets each sound swirl and be bathed in a haze or a ghost-like echo." - Bruce G. (Downtown Music Gallery)

Artist: AMEN DUNES
Title: Murder Dull Mind
Format: 12"
Label: Sacred Bones
Country: USA
Price: $9.75
"Recorded while DAMON MCMAHON was living as an expatriate in China, AMEN DUNES presents seven new stunning works of sunlit haziness. During the two years he lived abroad, he lived most of the time in an apartment on the north end of Beijing. He tracked these songs one summer in that apartment. With the exception of "Diane" and "Murder Dull Mind," all of these songs were recorded in one take and are completely improvisational; on repeated listens though, there is a pop-ness to these songs amidst the improvisation. The title track in particular, a melodic mantra-like work could certainly function on its own as a single. Although the songs have a bit less pre-written structure than Amen Dunes previous work on the Locust label, they are still every bit as miraculous. The geographical influence on his work central to both writing and recording conditions is evident here as these songs are way more open, and generally more free than his debut Dia (recorded in 2006 in a Catskills cabin) was. A bit less psych freak out and a bit more dark folk vibe throughout." - Sacred Bones.

Artist: AMOLVACY
Title: A La Lu La
Format: LP
Label: Ultramarine
Country: Italy
Price: $11.50
"Amolvacy is Aaron Moore from Volcano the Bear, Dave Nuss from No-Neck Blues Band, and Sheila 16 of the Laboratory Theater Group, NYC. The band creates compositions from its improvisations centered around strong elemental percussion, radical theatrical vocals, and classical acoustic instruments, reminding of Holy Modal Rounders, Moondog, The Fugs. Recurring themes in Amolvacys texts are the pain of relationships, the affirmation of the feminine in myth, the heros journey, and continuous need to flame the passions of the heart. “A La Lu La” specifically addresses the gap of language in facilitating accurate communication, a gap that only music at its most primal can fill. The back of the album features text by Jose da Fonseca & Pedro Carolino, two Portugese who in 1855 created an English phrasebook titled “English As She is Spoke,” but who faced just one problem: they didnt know any English. The linguistic train wreck that ensues mirrors the play of language, sound, and unintentional humor on “A La Lu La.” - Ultramarine. Edition 500, die-cut sleeve.

Artist: AMOLVACY
Title: Ho-Ho-Kus
Format: LP
Label: Black Velvet Fuckere
Country: USA
Price: $13.25
"At least pray God to give me patience in my suffering. So concludes Lover Go From Hence, a tale of tumultuous romantic upheaval on the new Amolvacy record Ho-Ho-Kus. Here we have hearts wrenched from guts and firmly planted in the dirt; but also sprouting new romance, seduction, and... the church? And the French? Francois Rabelais wrote Garantua And Pantagruel - a major influence on this album - in the early 16th c. to caricature the faux morality of his time. Amolvacy offer Ho-Ho-Kus in the same cantankerous spirit, but this time perhaps to parody their own morality. Lead vocalist Sheila Donovan (ex-Tall Boys) is a longstanding member of the Laboratory Theater Company in NYC, and her partners are Aaron Moore of Volcano the Bear and Dave Nuss of the No-Neck Blues Band. Together they are the Amolvacy family. All things were shared in the making of this record, nothing hidden, no secrets left untold. Pressed on clear vinyl, in a die-cut sleeve." -Black Velvet Fuckere.

Artist: ANDEREGG, BRENDON
Title: Falling Air
Format: CD
Label: Psych-o-Path
Country: USA
Price: $8.50
"Psych-o-path Records is proud to present Falling Air the new acid-folk inspired singer songwriter album by Brendon Anderegg. Andereggs two previous releases on the Brooklyn based label Apestaartje, Anomia and When Rectangles Roll Under Cities, combine field recordings, electronics and acoustic instruments to create a strong sense of environmental space and structure. While there is definitely a thread of isolation and strong sense of experimental music apparent in Falling Air this album is an entirely different affair. Elements such as voice, acoustic guitar, banjo, violin, Rhodes, organ, piano, accordion, computer and various small instruments are interwoven into subtle yet complex arrangements at once defining a very personal style." - Psych-o-Path.

Artist: ANDERSON, MICHAEL
Title: Zalvi -Tears for Albert Ayler
Format: One Sided LP
Label: New World of Sound
Country: USA

"Multi instrumentalist Michael Anderson composed this beautiful one sided outsider Jazz Oddysey. Anderson was the youngest member in Sun Ras Arkestra in the late 70s and was one of two percussionists on Lanquidity (Philly Jazz PJ666)." - NWOS.

Artist: ANGELBLOOD
Title: Printed Matter
Format: CD
Label: Labia Minora
Country: USA
Price: $9.50
"On Angelbloods new CD, Labia Minora, musical styles and influences mesh and collide in a simultaneously jarring and hypnotic sonic netherworld of hope and despair. Gnarled chants and incantations alternate with ethereal floating singing, conjuring the images and emotions of pagan ritual, blood sacrifice and the quest for redemption. Crunching rhythm guitars and bass pierced by screaming leads form the dark heavy metal undertow of the albums sound. This is set to repetitive melodies with something of an earthy folk bent, creating a unique, swaying, dirge-like atmosphere °߃ only to be disrupted by the blistering drums and the chainsaw drill of the speed metal reprise, the growl of the hunter-wolf, the bellow of the slain beast. The epic final cut balances on the edge of dissonance and noise, the croon of the sister-brethren, the blood of the slaughtered pig. Angleblood is Lizzi Bougatsos (vocals), Rita Ackermann (vocals), Brian DeGraw (bass), Dave Nuss (drums) and Anders Nilssen (guitar). On Labia Minora special guest Mick Barr (of Orthrelm and Chromtech) plays guitar. Angelblood was formed in the year 2000, and has played internationally in both music and art venues. Labia Minora is their third CD. In addition to being a band, Angelblood is also a performance art group, whose dark motifs and ritualized actions match the concerns of the band. Finally, Angelblood also creates collaborative art works, distinguished by a combination of distinctive drawing and edgy collage. In all of its various incarnations, Angelblood is characterized by a raw, almost desperate approach to art and life, realms which, in the Angleblood ethos, are indistinguishable. It is this rebellious attitude of refusal and iconoclasm, coupled incongruously, yet sincerely, with a sense of pathos and reverence, that sets Angleblood apart from the monotonous drone of monolithic culture." - Printed Matter.

"Produced and released by Richard Kelly, the mad genius behind the original CLUB FOOT ORCHESTRA and THE ALTERBOYS, these brilliantly sparse compositions revel in terse and choppy guitar, the languid, sour leakage of keyboards and horns, and occasional lyrics sung as ironic disclaimer, while the spare yet vaguely ominous bass lines recall GANG OF FOUR played back at 4 RPM." Artist: ART MUSEUMS
Title: S.H.O.P.P.I.N.G./Feel Like Dreams
Format: 7"
Label: Dulc-i-Tone
Country: USA
Price: $5.00
"The sleepy beauty of the Art Museums debut album Rough Frame (Woodist) appeared seemingly out of nowhere, but their apparent off-the-cuff casualness and unpretentious brilliance come as the logical bubbling up of years absorbing the arcane musical corners of the 60s, 70s, and 80s - where utopian folk visions, pop-art obsessions, giddy punk and new wave sheen all make perfect sense. The few who have seen The Art Museums have been lucky to hear bits of their backlog of as-yet-unreleased songs, and now the first treasures are finally seeing sunlight: Feel Like Dreams is a boyish reverie that soars along pre-prog Genesis-style keyboard chords above crisp drum machine cracks. Its all really unexpected and works like you wouldnt believe! And S.H.O.P.P.I.N.G? Well, without hyperbole, we can say that it is, to us, the most enjoyable one minute, forty-five seconds put on tape in a long, long time. The Style Council stripped of pomp and set to a thunderous low-end of rumbling electronic drums, S.H.O.P.P.I.N.G is disposable in all the right ways, the perfect mod-pop soundtrack to your no-longer-dull walk down the street. REALLY! Beautiful full-color, heavy-duty glossy glued sleeves. First pressing of 500." - Dulc-i-Tone.

Artist: ASTRAL SOCIAL CLUB
Title: Model Town in a Field of Mudd
Format: LP
Label: Textile
Country: France
Price: $15.00
"Model Town in a field of Mud is the result of a collaboration between Neil Cambell and John Clyde Evans. This album was recorded largely thru the post during Johns year long stay in India. (although the very last few minutes are the duo live in Sheffield right after he returned). This album is a 50/50 collaboration, hopefully the first of many! John Clyde Evans has a lenghty career, even if he did "disappear" for a few years. John was in the band Hood (Domino Recordings) then cut a couple of great solo records, then disapeared, reappearing using his Sikh name of Tirath Singh Nirmala, cutting an LP with Richard Yuongs, then reverting his original name and droping the magnificent " Apetal Thunderfall" CD on us earlier this year!! Neil Campbell is a cornerstone of the UK underground and played in Vibracathedral Orchestra, Sunroof, A Band, with Richard Youngs, Damo Susuki and many many other artists. Despite some esoteric path, Model Town in a field of mud reconfirm John and Neil intentions to blast techno into the Stratosphere" - Textile

Title: Peter Pan Hits the Suburbs
Format: LP
Label: La Vida Es Un Mus
Country: UK
Price: $13.25
"Reissue of this long lost masterpice from 1981 originally released by Bulge / Genius records. The Astronauts were (and are, after close to 30 years and a history of lineup shifts only bested by The Fall) the definitive psych-punk ensemble, though even that title doesnt do em justice. Their sound culminates the post 77 punk dabblings of head forbears Twink (his Do it 77 single and The Rings I wanna be free platter), Nik Turner (the outstanding Inner City Unit and the punkier late 70s bits of Hawkwind) and Daevid Allens planet Gong (with fellow acid-punkers Here and Now) all woven in with an earlier Robert Wyatt / mellow candle-y psych folk vibe... While not sounding like any of those things at all. Get it? The albums range is gigantic: from dissonant punk a la Fall (Everything stops for baby), to epic progressive folk (Protest song, Baby sings folk songs), ditties (Sod us), hard-rock (The Traveller), pop (How green was my valley), garage / surf (Still Talking), industrial (How long is a piece of string), and set to arrangements that employ synths, flute, saxophone, and strays into progressive or even free-form / psychedelic sections. The icing on the cake is the mature statement of the lyrics, a cynical and bitter exploration of the lives of simple men, miles away from the generic horror / punk overtones that permeated most of alternative albums at the time." - La Vida Es Un Mus. Artist: AUBE
Title: Chain [RE] Action
Format: CD
Label: Blossoming Noise
Country: USA
Price: $9.25
"Sound Designer (as he likes to be described) Akifumi Nakajimas Aube project distances itself from the work of other Japanese noise musicians by adopting a fiercely Ambient approach into his work. Water going down a plug hole, the hum of lamps heating up and the sounds of his own body have dominated previous Aube releases, but for this recording (as its title implies) Nakajima uses chains as his main sound source to create five textural pieces that range from the looping metallic shrill of "The Metal Cicada" to the minimalistic sonar pulsation of "Vibrate Quietly", which sounds like it was recorded in a bathysphere at the bottom of the ocean. This combination of harsh and gentle sounds sets the tone for the entire album, which culminates in "Spasmodic Repetition", a colossal ringing electronic drone piece that incorporates the central theme of chains being manipulated to produce loop patterns of clang and glitch." - The Wire Magazine

Containing his first original writing since leaving the Instant Automatons, it also draws heavily upon a wide variety of sources: here are songs from the English, Irish and Scottish tradition, the Crimean War, the chain-gangs of Americas Deep South and the trenches of World War One, all given the distinctive treatment characteristic of The Automatons best work." - Waterden.

Title: s/t
Format: LP
Label: Wierd
Country: USA
Price: $10.00
"Wierd Records is proud to present the self-titled debut LP from Montreals Automelodi. Lead by vocalist and songwriter Xavier Paradis who has long garnered a cult underground following with his solo minimal synth project Arnaud Lazlaud active in Canada since the late 90s, the band was formed in 2006 and is a welcome new addition to the international wing of the Wierd Records community in Brooklyn. Like labelmates Led Er Est and Frank(just Frank) Automelodi combines guitars with synthesizers and drum machines to create a truly idiosyncratic, cerebrally sophisticated, and elegantly composed album of modern minimal electronic music! Artist: AUTRE NE VEUT
Title: Autre Ne Veut
Format: LP
Label: Olde English Spelling Bee
Country: USA
Price: $12.00
"Debut LP by ANV. Co-release with Upstairs CD-R -- the label run by Dan Lopatin (of Oneohtrix Point Never / Games). Mixed by Chris Coady at DNA Downtown, NYC." "Autre Ne Veut (I want no other) was inscribed on the back of a gold and garnet hat ornament (ca. 1475) found at Hanley Castle in Worcestershire. It is rumored to be the gift of an English Duke to his French mistress, but this is simply conjecture." -- Metropolitan Museum of Art / The Cloisters, New York City "Olde English Spelling Bee is one of those labels you can implicitly trust to provide you with the most brilliantly weird music. Their latest missive is a self titled shocker from Autre Ne Veut, a moocher from the same circles as Oneohtrix Point Never and all those weirdo Brooklyn types with an uncanny line in subtly skewed pop queerness. Seriously, this is one of the strangest, most jarringly unique records of the year, and we love it. At heart its an incredible pop album with traces of Prince, Prefab Sprout and Erasure at its core, but each melody and harmony is delivered with an off-key sleight of hand that really plays on your preconceptions and experience of classic synth pop. Theres definite nods to the soundtracks of John Hughes movies and the like, but its perhaps more like The Breakfast Club score remade by the Troma company for some secret pay-per-view internet channel. Autre Ne Veut has possibly made one of our favourite albums this year and we urge you to investigate without delay. Essential!" - Boomkat.

Artist: AUTUMN
Title: Synthesize
Format: LP
Label: Minimal Wave
Country: USA
Price: $18.50
"The twenty-seventh release on Minimal Wave is Autumns Synthesize LP, selections from the bands best material. Autumn was the legendary project of Peter Bonne and Geert Coppens, two Belgian teenagers who started experimenting with the potentials of analog synthesizers during the late 70s and soon after formed a band together in 1980, quickly becoming one of the most truly visionary groups to emerge from the synth scene in Europe. The album is titled after their Synthesize single which was recorded along with its b-side The Third Autumn in 1981 in a professional 24 track studio in only 7 hours. Both songs became modest summer hits in Belgian dance clubs in 1982, and the release been highly sought after ever since. This album features Synthesize and The Third Autumn, along with other cassette only favorites like I Say You Hello, Not Afraid To Die, and Night In June (featured on Angulars Cold Wave & Minimal Electronics compilation in 2010). Considering how young Autumn were when they recorded these songs, the production is very impressive. These multi-layered synthpop gems are catchy, danceable and definitely ahead of their time. I Say You Hello has been described as an "amazing" piece of synth music with "insanely catchy vocals, an incredible bass line and some mind-melting analog patterns". Autumn was previously featured on V/A The Lost Tapes LP with their Time Is On Our Side, a magical piece of dark synth wave music. Due to heavy interest in the band and our general love for all Micrart Group projects, we decided a full LP needed to be released. Thus we present it to you: a hand-numbered, limited edition pressing on 180 gram clear green vinyl housed in a heavy printed gloss jacket." - Minimal Wave.

Artist: AVARUS
Title: II
Format: LP
Label: HP Cycle
Country: Canada
Price: $12.75
"Here is your introduction to phase two. While there is a certain degree of continuity in the approach, II is a noticeable extrapolation of the Avarus SOUND. The albums six tracks span collage-esque pieces of audio junk to deconstructed song forms to subtly dense instrumentals. Waves of stretched electronics, distorted clank and warbling bass throb create layers of chaotic wreckage until a sudden collapse reveals an underlying stasis. Unnoticed patterns now conscious pull the listener into another time/mind continuum. Step into the g-a-p. The LP is presented in a full cover printed sleeve with suitable "found" photo art...for you to figure out what its all about." - HP Cycle.

Title: Vesikansi
Format: CD
Label: Secret Eye
Country: USA
Price: $10.25
"49 minutes of gooey new goodness from Avarus - spread over just three tracks. In the last year, Finlands experimental underground has successfully overtaken the freak music world, and for damn good reasons. From the same tattered coven of piss drinkers who alternately refer to themselves (depending on who shows up to record) as Kemialliset YstŰ䱶Ű䱴, Lau Nau, Pylon, Islaja, Es, Kiila or the Anaksimandros comes this, another Secret Eye release from the mighty Avarus - a follow-up to last years JŰ䱴tilŰ䱩srotta. These fumbling Finns conjure a smoky, shit-drunk forest of noise, folk and unsurpassable tribal improv. Features guest vocals and casio from Tara Burke (AKA Fursaxa) recorded live in Ireland." - Secret Eye.

Artist: AXOLOTL/INCA ORE
Title: Split
Format: 7"
Label: Arbor
Country: USA
Price: $4.75
"Karl Bauer and Eva Saelens (Axolotl and Inca Ore respectively) are two like minded Bay area psychers operating on two opposing levels. Axolotl marks the A side with skyward streaking drones and ethereal loops tinged and focused, ringing with the joyous bliss of upward passage. An endless array of vocals, electronics, and violin looping and looping, building and growing: stasis. Inca Ore makes her craft from an Earth bound level. Oneness with her surroundings, roots firmly planted. Eerie incantations and meandering harp play foreground to layer upon layer of looped vocals and murky ambience, charting your way towards forever. In an edition of 450 white purity colored 7"s in black and white pro-printed collage fold-over sleeves by Eva with a numbered insert." - Arbor.

Artist: AXOLOTL/YELLOW SWANS/GERRITT
Title: S/T
Format: LP
Label: Root Strata
Country: USA
Price: $12.25
"Originally released in 2005 as a limited edition CD-R on Yellow Swans JYRK label, this three-way collab now gets a proper run on wax. Recorded in Oakland at the Huffin House before the Swans made the retreat back to Portland. Despite the weight of these players when they rock alone, this jam really never gets into full on white out territory. Instead, its loaded to the brim with wavy neon distortion and soothing low end that occasional drops out into huge washes of emptiness. The opening passage of GMS guitar flecks sympathizing with Karls string wash is alone worth the price of admission. Red vinyl with lime green splatter." - Root Strata.

Azitis was the self-proclaimed "first Christian/Religious/Metaphysical Rock Band in America." This release includes an eponymous "rock opera," which was member Don Lowers Masters project at the California State University of Sacramento, alongside music written before (and recorded after) Help."
