Title: Ashmadai
Format: Double LP
Label: Fusetron
Country: USA
Price: $14.00
"Two adepts of the sonic arts return with a morality play in four sides. Gone are the appeals to the winged serpent, the tree of life, or other past luminaries; these days they can be seen in consort with only one: ASHMADAI. It is said that Ashmadai is not to be feared. When you say to it: "In truth thou art Ashmadai," it will give you a wonderful ring. It will teach you geometry, arithmetic, astronomy and mechanics. When questioned, it answers truthfully. Released on two twelve inch 45 RPM platters - wide grooves for maximum impact to the ear." Latest from this mysterious NNCK offshoot.

Artist: K-GROUP/OMIT
Title: Storage
Format: LP
Label: Fusetron
Country: USA
Price: $8.50
"Not a split release by these two New Zealand artists, but a collaboration, carrying on from their 1997 single on Colorful Clouds for Acoustics. The weapons of choice are analogue synthesizers and the approach is slowly unfolding drones and drifting veils of sound that part and close across the listeners third ear like storms on the surface of Jupiter. K-Group is Paul Toohey, previously of noted NZ geological drone ensemble Surface of the Earth, who also has a solo album under this name on Corpus Hermeticum. Omit is Clinton Williams, who has also recorded for that notorious NZ un-easy listening label, as well as extensively on his own Deep Skin imprint. During 2000 and 2001, having failed to bring down the global economy with their now-forgotten Y2K scam [remember Y2K? - I thought not], this pair of Hidden Masters turned their efforts towards late-night kitchen jam sessions during their holiday moments. In these each would fire up an antiquated analogue synth and the resulting aural collisions would be recorded on a handy hard drive, then tweaked, inverted, eqd and edited to produce the immaculate slabs of sound contained within the tiny grooves of this ludicrously out-dated analogue sound-reproducing format. These seven tracks simulate the calm of the newly sedated patient about to undergo a surgical procedure, just as he or she is starting to slip into unconsciousness. You can listen, but just when you think youre hearing something, you realise that 12 hours have gone by and you have a new and inexplicable scar on some unlikely part of your anatomy. Too late you realise that the sound you can hear at the very edge of audition is not this recording, but the sound of forty metal robotic insects starting to eat their way out through your still-sedated navel. Waking with a start in time to flip the album over on your turntable, you notice that subsonic frequencies have begun to rearrange the contents of your mantlepiece into a veritable Morris Dance of inanimate objects, when you thought the audio had not yet begun to play back. A vestigial bass throb starts up in the back of your cranium, as very slow-moving if not actually stationary spacecraft begin to land in the garden. Three days later they are still hovering as the seventh and final track of thr album begins to play, and infinitesimally subtle stereo effects start panning in impossible permutations audible only between your shoulder blades. Apparent suspension of time, delirious interludes, interference with the basic laws of physics, all of these effects are possible results of listening to the beautifully poised, finely polished and unutterably beautiful sounds contained in this simultaneously forbidding and inviting artifact. If, like me, these are all the things you look for in a sound recording, then look no further. If its merely music you require, then I suggest you meddle not in the affairs of your betters and proceed directly to the nearest chain CD store and stock up big time." -Bruce Russell [Noise Legend], Lyttelton, NZ, May 2002. "Both K-Group and Omit have been longtime Aquarius favorites from the New Zealand experimental noise scene; but unfortunately, theyve been pretty quiet in their respective outputs during the past couple of years. K-Group is the solo project for Paul Toohey, who has also worked in the (defunct?) Surface Of The Earth, both of which centered around low-frequency tectonic drones coaxed from abused amplifiers. Clinton Williams has taken up the Omit moniker for his creepy, tape loop compositions loaded with bleak sci-fi / psychotic imagery. This collaboration between Williams and Toohey is actually their second, if you count a 7" which came out ages ago. In running Williams battery of analogue synths through Tooheys cabinets, theyve constructed an eerie album of deep rumblings that are on par with anything that Coleclough, Koner, or Troum have managed to release. As the K-Group / Omit drones ripple with a gritty amplifier buzz often lacking in the driftwork of those aforementioned artists, "Storage" pulses with a subterrenean heaviness, pushing this closer towards the Earth / Sunn 0))) terrain. A really wonderful album!!! " - Aquarius.

Artist: KAPOTTE MUZIEK & LETHE
Title: Tsurumai
Format: CD
Label: Intransitive
Country: USA
Price: $9.50
"Recorded in the industrial city of Nagoya, Japan, Tsurumai is an expansive album of rough electro-acoustic music. Starting from a few small clicks, the music steadily grows outward, uneasily shifting and expanding. Rude bumps interrupt narcotic drones, the telltale human hands of improvisation disappear into a mysterious group sound, acoustic and digital elements blur, vision fails, and time stops...Frans de Waard began his Kapotte Muziek (literally broken music) project in Nijmegen, the Netherlands, in 1984, and went on to found the Korm Plastics label. In Nagoya, KM met up with Kuwyama Kiyoharu, aka Lethe, an omnivorous multi-instrumentalist whose work typically takes advantage of some acoustic peculiarity of the space in which it is recorded." - Intransitive.

Artist: KAPROW, ALLAN
Title: How To Make A Happening
Format: CD
Label: Primary Information
Country: USA
Price: $13.25
"The point is to make something new, something that doesnt even remotely remind you of culture. Primary Information is pleased to announce the CD release of Allan Kaprows How to Make a Happening LP—making it available on a wide scale basis for the first time in the titles history. Originally released by Mass Art in 1966, the record never saw thorough distribution as the publisher went bankrupt shortly after its release. Later, in 1968, How to Make a Happening was distributed on a limited basis through Something Else Press—A laminated and silk-screened cover by Alison Knowles distinguished this edition from its predecessor. Simple in construction, yet profound in context, How to Make a Happening is Allan Kaprow delivering 11 rules on how, and how not, to make a Happening, an movement begun by Kaprow in the late fifties that is known for its unpredictability, open scores, and constantly-evolving form. On the first track, Kaprow speaks plainly into a microphone, delivering a private cut-to-the-chase style instruction on Happenings that is both informative and contradictory. Kaprow, known as a great teacher of the avant-garde (from Rutgers to Cal Arts to finally University of California, San Diego), delivers both a practical and theoretical how-to with an oftentimes dead-pan humor. On the second track, which is constructed like the first, Kaprow reads the program and notes of three recent Happenings (Soap, Calling, and Raining), which serve as loose instruction, as they involve improvisation and forces beyond human control, such as acts of nature and other uncontrolled environmental forces. These elucidations further provide a clear, if somewhat circumstantial, distinction of what does and does not constitute a Happening. Perhaps, one of the more astonishing values to this recording is that it reflects and informs on a movement that fifty years on has come be seen as a seminal shift in postwar contemporary art and performance, yet is discussed by its founder without this hindsight—it lacks sentimentality and most of all it lacks a sense of its relevance within this history. In fact, Kaprow shrugs off its place in the arts—its rejections of their strategies become a starting point if not a hallmark of the Happening, as he claims in rule number one: Forget all the standard art forms—dont paint pictures, dont make poetry, dont build architecture, dont arrange dances, dont write plays, dont compose music, dont make movies, and above all dont think youll get a happening by putting all these together. How to Make a Happening is being re-issued with the cooperation of the Estate of Allan Kaprow and the Getty Research Institute. Each CD is packaged in a hand-silkscreened jewel case that replicates the laminated edition by Alison Knowles and Something Else Press while preserving the original artwork carried out by Mass Art." - Primary Information.

Title: The Hermit
Format: LP
Label: HP Cycle
Country: Canada
Price: $12.00
"Debut album from this massive free ensemble from Louisville which features a revolving cast of over 50 musicians including members of Sapat, Valley of Ashes, Virgin Eye Blood Brothers, Son of Earth, Taiwan Death and the Belgian Waffles. The Hermit consists of three extended pieces that offer spaciously abstract atmospheres as well as moments of righteous cacophony. Utilizing a multitude of brass, reeds and percussion the album careens through numerous passages where intricate harmonics are created from the densely layered sounds. When the full force of the ensemble is unleashed individual elements appear and quickly recede into the squall. As the music nearly becomes unhinged, the sound disintegrates into a godzilla-like rockist thud propelled by the rhythm section and soaring horns before drifting to a sparse conclusion. The LP comes in a full colour jacket with homespun artifacts gracing the cover." - HP Cycle.

Title: We Live In A System
Format: LP
Label: Softspot
Country: USA
Price: $9.75
"SoftSpot has delved back into the post-punk archives and unearthed another virtually unheard gem. Our first full-length LP features the recordings of Kebab, a short-lived quartet of punk-minded Belgian youths. Inspired by the Crass Records DIY mentality, the burgeoning UK art-punk scene, and their own boredom, Kebab combined anti-political punk diatribes with sharp guitars, plodding basslines, synth gurgles, and spastic electronic percussion. The result is an aggressively sparse take on post-punk that remains fresh and visceral sounding today. Side A compiles all their known studio recordings, including the sought-after "Life Its a Joke" 7" from 1982. Side B features select tracks from their original demo tape, recorded in 1981 and limited to only 30 copies. All tracks have been remastered from the best available sources, and are presented on black vinyl in a full-size poster package containing lyric sheet, rare photos, and a vintage interview with the band." - Softspot.

Artist: KELDAY, PAUL
Title: One Dimensional
Format: LP
Label: Borft/ UFO Mungo
Country: Sweden
Price: $15.00
"Kelday was on many important early 80s experimental comps like "The Elephant Table Album", "New Babel", "Journey to the End of the Night", "Sudden Departure", "Slaughter of the Innocent", etc.. and had cassette releases on Colin Potters Integrated Circuits label. "Tracks are choosen from a period mostely recorded in 1985 but even as late as 1990. Some of the tracks has been available on tapes and compilations but even some exclusive material appears on this album. The sound is as usual with Paul Kelday very dark analog synth music, spaced out and psychedelic atmosphear. The Lp is limited to 300 copys." - UFO Mungo.

Artist: KELLEY, GREG
Title: I Dont Want To Live Forever
Format: CD
Label: Little Enjoyer
Country: USA
Price: $8.00
"As a veteran of the Massachusetts experimental music community and Minister of Fanfares for the Kingdom of Elgaland-Vargaland, Greg Kelley is well known in his capacity as a trumpeter, with consideration to his input into such diverse ensembles as nmperign, The BSC, Heathen Shame, Cold Bleak Heat, and Damon & Naomi. Kelleys interests, however, span all varieties of sound arrangement, and on "I dont want to live forever" he shows his considerable merits as a composer of solo musique concrete. A co-release between Gameboy and the newly formed Little Enjoyer, this is Kelleys third solo release. For this recording he takes as source material recordings from minidisc and microcassette made during a tour with Mike Bullock and edits them into a single 35+ minute composition. The results are unlike anything Kelley has done before: rigorous, methodical tape-collage, in turns pensive and aggressive, brittle and supple. The record becomes a revolving exploration of a set of atmospherics, rigidly set into a rusty frame of tape-hiss, fragments emerging from the dreams of a long convalescence. Kelley openly acknowledges his musical reference points in the liner notes, but those citations serve only to make more unfamiliar what is already strangely shaped. Not one that assimilates easily to categories, its as uneasy as a pederast at a PTA meeting. Crucial stuff." - Little Enjoyer. Mastered by Jason Lescalleet, with liner notes by Oliver Alden and Leif Elggren.

Artist: KING & BROWN SIERRA, ANDREW
Title: The Kraken
Format: LP
Label: Dais
Country: USA
Price: $11.00
"Andrew King, along with collaborators Brown Sierra, send forth a follow-up EP to last years folk diamond Thalassocracy. The Kraken sounds like a traditional maritime shanty ripped from historys pages, laced with experimental beauty, electronic hisses, and static. Andrews own background as one of the primary members of Sol Invictus (alongside Tony Wakeford) and The Triple Tree mixed with his studies of ancient English folklore forged with Brown Sierras epic electronic noise instrumentation make this release one to be anticipated and easily one of the most remembered folk recordings of the past year. Limited to 500 hand-numbered copies. With insert." -Dais.

Artist: KITES/EARTH CROWN
Title: Split
Format:
Label: Arbor
Country: USA
Price: $10.00
"This is a cold vision of a dark trash covered future full of Sci Fi nightmares and strange out of body experiences. This is the final Kites recording and is perhaps the strangest and most chaotic piece in the prolific discography. Annihilation synth and tape collage, cut up, sped up and dialed to oblivion. Earth Crown steps it back, slows down the pulse, lets the edges of the static curl around the drone to the breaking point, where the damage is let loose, purged out and built again. This LP is a reminder of how cold, desolate, and haunting life can be. In an edition of 400 LPs with inserts, printed labels and silkscreened covers by Shawn Reed featuring art by Kites and Earth Crown. Co-released with Night People." -Arbor

Artist: KLEISTWAHR
Title: The Return Of The Real
Format: LP
Label: Noiseville
Country: USA
Price: $16.00
"Gary Mundy from Ramleh/Broken Flag records fame returns with the ressurection of Kleistwahr, a project whose previous material is impossible to find these days. Just as youd hope and expect, this is a completely saturated mesh of tortured guitar, tormented vocals and extra noise added just to round things off. Brilliantly painful. As good as anything Ramleh has ever done, really." - Noiseville

Artist: KOERNER, SPIDER JOHN
Title: March 1963
Format: LP
Label: Neros Neptune
Country: USA
Price: $13.00
"A major archival discovery, taped March 24, 1963 for a Milwaukee, Wisconsin radio program, on the eve of the very same day that the seminal Blues, Rags & Hollers LP by Koerner, Ray & Glover was created. Spider John Koerner is the man who first introduced a young Bob Dylan to the 12-string guitar, a bona fide legend who is acknowledged as an influence by artists as diverse as John Lennon, Beck, The Doors & Dylan himself. Nearly 50 years ago, Paul Nelson, writing in the Little Sandy Review and Sing Out respectively, said that "Koerners art is like Chaplins, as great and lasting as it is entertaining," while calling him "the most innovatively brilliant acoustic blues musician of his generation." In the year 2010 -- seldom performing and now in his 70s -- the reclusive Koerner is "one of the worlds greatest living practitioners of traditional American folk music." It is with enormous pride that Neros Neptune presents this long-lost piece of American musical history. Tip-on sleeves, pressed on 180 gram vinyl." - Neros Neptune.

Artist: KOLOVOS, PETER
Title: New Bodies
Format: LP
Label: Thin Wrist
Country: USA
Price: $10.00
Full Color Heavy Tip-On Cover / 180 Gram Vinyl Edition of 500. "Peter Kolovos, guitarist in Los Angeles trio Open City, presents here three tracks of electric guitar improvisations. Each features successively recorded left- and right-channel guitars, in which the overdub responds asynchronously to the original. While Open City explored the electroacoustic interplay afforded by the two-guitar and drums line-up, in New Bodies, his first solo release, Kolovos lets rip with all the skronk and blurt hes been holding in for the last decade, in tiny, tightly gated segments. His sound vocabulary is very broad, and his control of texture and timing is masterful. Using equalisation, reverb, envelope shaping and volume control... He rapidly opens and closes the volume window on a dizzying series of extended guitar techniques, creating the inescapable impression of Derek Bailey covering The Residents Duck Stab. If that wont sell records, I dont know what will. This electrifying effect is enhanced by the crisp digital recording and the superb Dubplates and Mastering pressing job - every clang and buzz is right up in your grill. Released on Kolovoss own imprint, the packaging continues the good work. The cover features a magnificent photograph of the guitarist taken by Joyce Campbell using the mid-19th century tin type process, which requires a sitting of over three minutes. The resulting image is as physically time based as the recording it encloses, and has the distinctive look of a Victorian death mask - no posing or even facial expression is possible. In this regard the cover is an exact metaphor of the recording - what you perceive is exactly what you get." - Bruce Russell, The Wire August 2009.

Artist: KOMMISSAR HJULER AND MAMA BAER
Title: Amerikanische Poesie und Alkoholismus
Format: LP
Label: Feeding Tube
Country: USA
Price: $11.50
"180 Gram Edition of 500. "Officer Hjuler of the Flensburg police, and his wife Frau Baer give an earsplitting lecture on sound poetry on the A side and lull us into a state of American Alcoholism on the flip. This German duo has over 200 releases on their own lathe cut/cdr imprint and is quickly racking up international honors, album credits and acclaim. This is their largest LP release to date. One side is Kommissar Hjuler und Frau : ONCE AGAIN concrete poetry (or was it the song?) a collage of US-american sound poetry, collected by Jean-Francois Bory, presented by Kommissar Hjuler und Frau. "One side is Mama Baer : Alcoholisme - brut field recordings with mama baers voice and treatment. "Amerikanische Poesie... is the duo at their most hilariously alienating and crudely sophisticated." -David Keenan in WIRE "this is, naturally, a batshit-crazy affair, with the two absolutely howling over the purported “legacy” materials (through a fender princeton from the sound of things) - its both terrifying and oddly inspiring (which sums up most of what makes this stuff so ... engaging)." -Keith Fullerton Whitman

Artist: KOSOKUYA
Title: Ray Night - 2006.October.18
Format: CD

Country: Japan
Price: $14.50
"Ray Night Music is Kosokuyas own label, which was established to release Kosokuyas first album in 1991. Title: Heute Schlafen - Morgan Aufwachen
Format: Double LP
Label: S-S
Country: USA
Price: $14.00
"We are proud to announce the vinyl debut of the Berlin-based four-piece Krysmopompas. Not only does their name comes from the mysterious terrorist group featured in the German sci fi/trash film “Kamikaze 1989” (starring Rainer Werner Fassbinder), but so does their sound. They are influenced by Fassbinders ideas the writers Rolf-Dieter Brinkmann & Eugene Ionesco, and the music of Neue Deutsche Welle bands such as EA-80, Fehlfarben, and Freiwillige Selbstkontrolle, classic Krautrock like Neu and Can, as well as Wire, The Units, and Devo. Since 2004, theyve played a number of live show and released two limited edition CDs - Mitmachen beim Abbauen (2006), followed by Mehr Kilometer pro Leben (2007). We liked the CDs a lot and, when they went instantly out of print, convinced our Berlin buddies to let us put them on vinyl. And so we have “Heute Schlafen - Morgan Aufwachen”, a double album of neo-NDW sounds. The foundation is a Wire like simplicity but throughout the records you hear all the groups mentioned above. Yann and Felix both take up the vocals, cool German poetically intoned over their post-post sound. We are excited to introduce the world to Krysmopompas. Heute Schlafen - Morgan Aufwachen is a double album. The pressing is 550." - S-S.

Artist: KUBIN UND DAS MINERALORCHESTER, FELIX
Title: Music for Theatre and Radio Play
Format: LP
Label: Dekorder
Country: Germany
Price: $18.50
"We are extremely excited to announce the 1st collaboration between the Dekorder label and our old friend, local conspirator and private hair gardener Felix Kubin. Kubin has achieved world wide reputation by releasing post-dadaist, futuristic NDW-influenced Organ&Korg smash hits on his own Gagarin label, on A-Musik, Ski-pp, Meeuw, Diskono et al. He has collaborated with People Like Us, Coolhaven, Mark Boombastik, Asmus Tietchens, ensemble Int駲ales, David Fenech, Ergo Phizmiz, Boris D. Hegenbart, Wojtek Kucharczyk and many others. His first recordings date back to his teenage years in the early 1980s, followed by his electroacoustic noise duo Klangkrieg and the pseudo-communist Liedertafel Margot Honecker. Right from the start Felix Kubin has written and recorded music for films (hence the title of his first album) by the likes of Mariola Brillowska and Anke Feuchtenberger and continues the German tradition of "Hiel" (radio play) with works such as "Territerrortorium", "Nachtspeicher", "Orpheus Psykotron" and "Syndikat fenl䲭" (with guest appearances by Matmos, DAT Politics and Wolfgang Mof Die Tche Doris). Some of Kubins most gorgeous and adventurous works are his contributions to "The Raft" (a radio play by the mysterious Xentos Bentos of The Homosexuals, directed by Lukas Simonis of Coolhaven, Trespassers W, Dull Schicksal) and his soundtracks for theatre plays by Branko Simic ("Zufall", based on a short story by Vladimir Nabokov) and the notorious Schorsch Kamerun. The latter (known in Germany as a member of Goldene Zitronen) directed "Hollywood Elegien" based on a song cycle by Bert Brecht and Hanns Eisler. Now the best parts of these works are for the first time available on LP and CD, simply (and aptly) titled "Music for Theatre and Radio Play". While the musical spectrum on this release covers a variety of styles and moods its still almost immediately recognisable as a typically Kubin-ist work featuring the main ingredients his records and body-and-mind-boggling live shows are famous for. Twisted rythms & playfully clever arrangements that could have been created by a mutated reincarnation of the legendary Juan Esquivel; hauntingly ethereal tracks sounding like a narcoleptic John Carpenter playing Angelo Badalamenti arrangements; contorted Big Band music, pre-war Schlager and Vaudeville sent through a malfunctioning pre-digital time machine; Ennio Morricone cloned as a Russian male choir; instrumental workers songs Hanns Eisler might have imagined in a feverish nightmare - its all there, and more!" - Dekorder.

Title: Antarktis Slow Rock
Format: 7"
Label: Meeuw Muzak
Country: Netherlands
Price: $4.75
"This was the first release, in 1997 by a man named Felix Kubin, before stepping into the world of fame. So riding on this fame its been re-issued with a new mix of the original b-side. The a-side is indeed a slow, rock-rhythm box pieces, with nicely humming organ lines, a sweet little melody. A quasi eastern-Europe feel comes to live in the form of wind blowing over the tundra. And tundras shaking ahead on the flipside, via a casio rhythm and a more up-tempo song. Here to similar eastern Europe feelings float by, in what is a very joyful and up-tempo song. Great to have it back in print." - Vital Weekly.

Title: Kusa
Format: CD
Label: Hyotan
Country:
Price: $15.25
"The use of amateurism and error as a compositional device characterize the music of Tori Kudo, particularly in his group Maher Shalal Hash Baz. His wife, Reiko, is nowhere near as prolific (just two short albums in the last ten years) but her interests lead her more towards the pursuit of spontaneity and a considered naturalness. Both share a desire to jolt the experience of playing and listening to music out of stale routines and atrophied sensibilities ®C but through play and a haiku-esque close attention to daily life, rather than with a gun to the head. The albums are suffused with a warm, almost alchemical domesticity, rooted in the familiar rhythms of home, community and the seasons. Hito was recorded from summer through to early autumn 2005 and the drowsy heat of the season lies over it like a mosquito net. The hesitant vocals and piano that open its first track are underpinned by what initially sounds like the faint wow and flutter of a cheap tape recorder. Suddenly, as though a window has been flung open, the distortion is revealed to be the pylon-buzz of cicadas in the garden outside. As the sound rises to fill the room, the senses are beguiled, place, time and sensation evoked with the most minimal of means. Kusa sounds slightly stiffer as it takes us from autumn through winter, but on both albums the spare instrumentation is enjoyably creative, with kitchen-cupboard percussion, a vacuum cleaner, the sound of the rain and a gang of local kids on recorders melded effortlessly around the romantic flourishes of Toris piano playing. Reikos albums are always song-based, miniature wisps of melody that sound like something composed over the washing-up, the words perfectly balanced between observation and signification. Her voice has that childlike upper register of many Japanese female singers, but with a definite strength in the low notes. Most striking is her enunciation ®C the slightest tremor of hesitation, a lack of demonstrativeness that makes Vashti Bunyan sound like Whitney Houston, the voice pitched uncannily into an area where the exhaled breath seems to shimmer naturally into song. This is captivating and at times heartbreakingly emotive work." - Alan Cummings, The Wire June 2006

Format: LP
Label: Dekorder
Country: Germany
Price: $17.00
"Unilintu" is the second of two vinyl-only LPs on the Dekorder label compiling the best material from Kuupuus first four CD-R and cassette releases, this time presenting a slightly darker and even more coherent sonic vision compared to last years gorgeous "Yr䢠LP.." - Dekorder. "Of all the many travellers in the Finnish psychedelia scene, Kuupuu is surely one of the most enigmatic.(.....) Among the Finnish leftfield, Yr䠩s second only to Ess Sateenkaarisuudelma in its meditative intensity." - The Wire, September 2006.

Artist: KUUPUU
Title: YŰ㲫ehrŰ䱀
Format: LP
Label: Dekorder
Country: Germany
Price: $17.00
"Jonna Karanka aka Kuupuu is one of the main movers of the (deservedly) much hyped Finnish Psychedelic Free Folk scene. Originally hailing from Tampere she is known as a core member of Avarus, Anaksimandros, Kukkkiva Poliisi and Maniacs Dream. Additionally, she has recently started Hertta Lussu ŰᲳsŰ䱠with Lau Nau and Islaja and has collaborated with Tomutonttu (aka Jan Anderzen of Kemialliset YstŰ䱶Ű䱴) and Paavi (as Lussu ja Paavi). "YŰ㲫ehrŰ䱢 is the first of two vinyl-only LPs on the Dekorder label compiling the best material from her first four CD-R and cassette releases, all of which immediately became much sought after collectors items, fetching ridicolous prices on the eBay market. This LP is a beautifull collection of haunting (sometimes spooky) home baked freeform folk songs, strange lo-fi loops, vocal drones and psychedelic cut-ups, made using weirdly tuned plucked and strummed strings, bells, clattery percussion, unidentifiable wind instruments, backwards tape loops and a ton of other noisemakers all played and recorded by herself; accompanied by her distinctive voice (often looped and layered) with vocals sung and whispered in her native Finnish language making the whole atmosphere even more haunting and mysterious. Jonna Karanka creates an intimate space where the listener feels like sitting next to her in a small chamber or outside in the woods where Kuupuu sings a lullaby just for him. Were proud to say that this has to be one of the most exciting debut albums of the year. Housed in a full colour sleeve with beautifull design / drawings / collage artwork by Jonna Karanka herself." - Dekorder.
